Lost Consonants

Lost Consonants is a comic collage series made by Faculty of Arts (University of Brighton) lecturer Graham Rawle (examples can be found here [1]), appearing in Britain's Guardian and Observer newspapers, where a single consonant is missing from a normal sentence, creating a humorous effect.

For example, the proverb "A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush" is missing the final H, giving "A bird in the hand is worth two in the bus", leading to a picture of two birds sitting on a bus.
